**An entire spelling level has 100 words. Each spelling test is 25 words; therefore, a “set” is 25 words. Set 1 would be the first 25 words on the spelling level, Set 2 would be the NEXT 25 words on that same spelling level, Set 3, the next 25 words and Set 4, the last 25 words on that same spelling level.
*After 4 spelling tests have been given, if your child misses 5 words or less on that level, they will move to the next level (Level A, B, C, D, etc.) of words.
*There will be a two week break between testing periods (Sets 1, 2, 3, 4) to allow students time to study the new list if they move up a level or practice the words they missed.
*A reminder: Spelling practice should be done more than the night before the test. These words are the Most Used Words in writing that students use on a daily basis.
